NOVUS TECHNICIAN WINS GOLD IN AUTO GLASS TECHNICIAN OLYMPICS
St. Paul, MN – NOVUS Glass is pleased to announce that Mackenzie “Mac” Curbow has been named the best Auto Glass Replacement technician in the United States. Curbow, a manager and technician at NOVUS in Kennewick, Washington, competed in both the Windshield Repair and Auto Glass Replacement competitions at Auto Glass WeekTM 2019 in Indianapolis. Curbow was the only technician to reach the finals as a top-4 technician in both the Pilkington Clear Advantage Auto Glass Technician Competition and the GlasWeld Windshield Repair Competition. By the end of the competition, Curbow emerged with the gold medal for Auto Glass Replacement and the bronze medal for Windshield Repair.
“The level of competition this year, is just mind-blowing,” Curbow said. “The best part about this is that there are so many things I’ve learned from this experience and can take back to my shop.” Exhibiting the quality in both replacement and repair that is a hallmark of the NOVUS Franchise Network, Curbow relied on his experience, training, and attention to detail and safety to win the competition. Curbow added, “I’ve wanted to compete since I found out about the competition back in 2013. I’ve wanted to be a part of Auto Glass Week since then. My boss said, ‘If you want to go let’s do it!’”
